Malaysia Independence Day

Jalur Gemilang-The Malaysian Flag
Hari Merdeka (Independence Day) is a national day of Malaysia commemorating the independence of the Federation of Malaya from British colonial rule. In a wider context, it is to celebrate the formation of Malaysia.

The effort for independence was spearheaded by Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj, the first Prime Minister of Malaysia, who led a delegation of ministers and political leaders of Malaya in negotiations with the British for Merdeka, or independence. Once it became increasingly clear that the Communist threat posed during the Malayan Emergency was petering out, agreement was reached on February 8, 1956 for Malaya to gain independence from the British Empire. However, for a number of logistical and administrative reasons, it was decided that the official proclamation of Independence would only be made the next year, on August 31, 1957 at Stadium Merdeka (Independence Stadium), in Kuala Lumpur.
The Federation of Malaysia, comprising states of Malaya, North Borneo (later renamed Sabah), Sarawak and Singapore was to be officially declared on the date August 31 1963, on the 6th anniversary of Malayan independence. However, it was postponed to September 16 1963, mainly due to Indonesian and the Philippines' opposition to the formation of Malaysia. Indonesian opposition later escalated to a military conflict. Indonesia considered Malaysia as a new form of colonization on the provinces of Sarawak and Sabah in the island of Borneo (bordering Kalimantan, Indonesia), which they laid claim on. To assure Indonesia that Malaysia was not a form of neo-colonialism, a referendum, organized by the United Nations, and the Cobbold Commission, led by Lord Cobbold, were formed to determine whether the people of Sabah and Sarawak wished to join Malaysia. Their eventual findings which indicated substantial support for Malaysia among the peoples of Sabah and Sarawak, cleared the way for the final proclamation of Malaysia. The formation of the Federation of Malaysia was then announced on September 16, 1963. However the Independence Day celebration is still held on August 31, the original independence date for Malaya. This has caused some minor discontent among East Malaysians in particular since it has been argued that celebrating the national day on August 31 is too Malaya-centric.
Merdeka!!!MERDEKA..merdeka......!!!!

As time flies, the danger seems to have extinct, but it lurks beyond the naked eyes. Younger generations tend not to bother the importance of independence anymore, not only in Malaysia but other countries as well. This would cause them to fall prey to the superpowers. Colonization could happen economically and even socially in some parts of the world. Independence should be maintained no only externally, but also internally into the minds of the people. The effects of this agenda which may jeopardise our independence could be our lack of learning, egoism, seggregation and political struggle. If this phoenomena worsen, the independence will extinct.

Therefore, we, as the younger generation and citizens of Malaysia, must protect our country from any harmful sources. We should work hard together to gain superiority and not to be left behind. Though education plays an important role, but it will only be successful the people are willing to contribute and sacrifice. The quality of independence is indirectly proportional to the action taken by its people to maintain and strenghten it. Independence is not a joke. When it’s gone, it’s the end. If that happens, we will suffer a lot from humiliation and discrimination.

We don’t want history to repeat itself. Therefore, we must always be prepared to protect our country. We must endure the saying “From the fall of Malacca, we raise Malaysia!”. On 31 August 2006, Malaysia will celebrate its 49th independence day. Let us all hold our hands, celebrate it together and pray for the longevity and prosperity of our motherland. We all should let out our voices by shouting “Merdeka!” and enjoy together all the hard work our forefathers have done for us. Malaysia will continue to be an independent country till the end of the world. Long live Malaysia!!!

what a lame joke....what do you think of it????

Suggestive Jokes R(A)

WARNING!!!! THE MATERIAL BELOW CONTAINS
OFFENSIVE(SUGGESTIVE)

I was scared at first. It was very wide, and very long, and it angled
straight up. I decided I had to try it once. I slowly and carefully
eased myself onto it. It felt weird at first. Then I got used to it.
I went up and down, and up and down on it. I was really loving it.
Now I ride on escalators all the time.
*******************************************
I took my fingers and slowly, gently stretched it apart. It was so pure
and white. I licked it once, twice... I found I couldn't stop. I licked
it faster and faster, and harder. I began to scrape my teeth against
it. There it was, in my mouth! All sweet and creamy. I was done.
I threw away the outsides of my Oreo cookie.
*******************************************
I squeezed it gently at first, then a little bit harder. There seemed
to be more and more of it. I moved it towards my lips. It was a
strange and new sensation for me. I put it in my mouth and
moved it around and around with my tongue. The time soon
came when I knew I had to spit it out.
It was quite an experience the 1st time I tasted toothpaste.
*******************************************
They were both round and firm. There was only the slightest difference
between the two. I squeezed it hard. I used my other hand to grab the
other one and twist it hard the other way.
Now there's a brighter light bulb in the living room.
*******************************************
It was laying limp in my hand. It was very long, kind of thin. I slid
it between my fingers until I got to the end of it. I was turning it on.
It became firm in my hands, and the end was wet. Then it got very
hard and began gushing out of the tip.
Then I took the garden hose and watered the bushes.
*******************************************
I knew it could be done. I wanted to try but I didn't know if I could
do it. I called my friend. He said he knew how to do it and
would teach me.
He put his arms around me and started. I watched nervously in the
mirror. He finally finished and pulled back slowly. I felt
relieved that it was over.
I hate neckties.
*******************************************
It looked warm and dark, and juicy and inviting. I wasn't
sure just what I wanted to do with it. I carefully pulled it
apart with my fingers to look into it better. I knew how
great it would be if I just started eating it.
But I decided on catsup for my burger.
*******************************************
They were two of the biggest balls I had ever seen! They
hung so heavy and low. I tried lifting them gently, but that
wasn't enough. They had to be pulled, and I pulled on
them very hard. They finally came.
I moved them to a higher spot on the Christmas tree.
*******************************************
and just what were you thinkin' ???? ;)

HOLIDAY STARTED FEW DAYS AGO.LIKE USUAL"BORED!'WHAT ELSE CAN I SAY!!!
DIN DO ANY INTERESTING STUFF BUT LUCKY ME THAT JO'N PASSED ME A DRAMA[TAIWAN]CALLED"IT STARTED WITH A KISS"IT WAS AWESOME.NO DOUBT ....
THIS IS THE :
Synopsis
Yuan Xiangqin (Ariel Lin) is a naive but optimistic high school girl. Ever since she met Jiang Zhi Shu (Joe Cheng) at the freshman orientation, she's fallen in love with the genius with an IQ of 200. After two years of having a crush on him, she finally musters the courage to confess to him at school. Zhi Shu is not impressed, and his cold-hearted rejection immediately turns her into the biggest joke of the school.
Misfortune comes in a pair: That evening, the new house she has just moved into with her father collapses in a minor earthquake. She and her father are instantly left homeless. Fortunately, her father's old high school friend extends a helping hand and invites both of them to live at his house. Little did
Xiang Qin know that the kind Uncle Li is actually the father of Jiang Zhishu! Because of the unexpected turn of events, the two of them begin living their lives under the same roof.
Nothing has ever seemed too hard for Zhi Shu; he's overcome every obstacle in his life with a practiced ease. However, Xiang Qin's appearance is like a tornado, turning his perfectly organized life into a whirlwind of unpredictable events. Despite his initial coldness and annoyance, Xiang Qin's blind courage and determination causes him to re-evaluate and think about his own life and future.
Will this be enough to win Zhi Shu's heart? Or will Xiang Qin break down under the full blast of Zhi Shu's coldness?
A reconmendation not to miss. It's a great drama to watch and trust me you'll have a great laugh by the end of the movie where those guys had to wear the bride's wedding gown and the girls wearing the groom's tuxedo.

ps:the sequal is comin out soon roughly on september 2007.
